Hey everyone!!! Just wanted to say that today I got my 3rd adjustment. I am now up to 7cc in my 9cc band. After getting my adjustment this morning, I could (right on the spot) feel a big difference. I could actually feel the Water stall for a couple seconds and then could feel it going through. It was such a wonderful feeling.:tt1:

I have lost a whole pound just since going to the Doctor this morning. I really hope that this time we have found my "sweet spot" and the weight will start falling off.

Sounds great, just remember to eat s-l-o-w-l-y and chew, chew chew. Getting stuck and sliming are no fun so don't let yourself get too hungry. Thats when I have a tendency to eat too fast and have problems. You will learn quickly whatyou can and cannot do, good luck.

Sally

Lucky you! My doc fills very slowly! I was banded a month before you and only have around 3.5cc's in my 10cc band.

I go in for my 3rd fill this Thursday.

Have you been losing slowly?

THat is so good! I just had my 4th fill on Friday the 3rd and I hear you about the Water. Now I understand when they say, "don't gulp your water". I've lost 3 lbs since my fill on Friday (can't update my ticker because i forgot my password)

I hope this feeling lasts for a long time!

I was banded on August 1, 2008 and I went today for my 2 month checkup and he did not give me a fill this month either. I have not had a fill yet cause I lost 20 lbs the 1st month and I had lost 14 lbs this month so he said I did not need a fill yet. I am okay with that though. I wish I would never need a fill and could loose all of my weight with just the band restriction. My doc said right now I am actually running in line with his gastric bypass patients, but he told me not to get overly excited cause it will slow down now. I hope he is wrong though.

I'd say more of on the lines of not losing at all. I had no restriction at all until yesterday actually very little yesterday. Today, well it's 9:20 a.m. and I have been up for 3 1/2 and I'm not even hungry yet. Hopefully that means that the RESTRICITON has really sat in and I will start losing the weight now.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
