nicole914 0 Posted October 5, 2008 My doctor requires a 2 week Optifast diet. Was anyone else required to do Optifast? If so, how much did it cost? Thank you!

jrjlprev 0 Posted October 6, 2008 Same here, I did a two week Opti-Fast and it was $200 for three cases. I got two of chocolate and one of strawberry. I actually like the chocolate and it is very satisfying. I never actually felt hungry. Now, the strawberry is still in my pantry. I didn't like the taste of it. But I had plenty with the two cases of chocolate. I lost 13 pounds during that two period. I did NOT cheat ... only the Opti-Fast and liquids, and the SF popcicles and Jello. You can do too, because if you've come this far, you are committed to changing your life, and this is the first major step! So hang in and keep telling yourself, you are in charge of the body from now on!!! I go tomorrow for my two week post-op visit. I went last week to my PCP for a one week checkup and I had lost 8 pounds. I feel great, the surgery was so easy. Gas pains is the worse of it, and I used the Gas-x strips that just dissolve on your tongue and they worked great! My incisions have healed beautifully and I'm very excited about this journey and all the great people I have met along the way! God Bless, Jeanie
caladonia41 0 Posted October 6, 2008 :tt2:My doctor had me on Optifast, I didn't loose any weight but my sugar count went up and I don't have diabetes, 17gm of sugar in optifast. He charged me $200 for 81-6oz. containers but I ask if he would approve Unjury, he said yes, it's a lot cheaper but you do have to add milk and put one scoop in a glass. Go to www.unjury.com it's cool.
CrimsonDawn 0 Posted October 7, 2008 I am getting surgery in Mexico and they recommend Optifast, but my doctor here wanted something with less sugar. I am using the Atkins premade shakes and they are pretty good. I have tried some horrible things! Atkins cost $5 for a box of 4 at Walmart. I really like the milk chocolate.< /p>
gentylwind 1 Posted October 7, 2008 TLCEdge suggested Optifast but didn't push it. They supplied a list of Protein Shakes that are okay to use, including Atkins, EAS, Muscle Milk and Carnation Instant Breakfast. I will likely use EAS whey powder and the Atkins shakes.< /p>
