Glad you're feeling better; next week is fine for me. I just started a spanish class on Thursdays, so any day but that (Donde esta el Hospital Almater?)

See if you can find a cute policeman for yourself tomorrow night, although I usually prefer firemen.

How about Tuesday? Does that sound good to you? You name the time.

Nawww, not firemen. Blech.... You know, there are only two professions where you earn a living laying on your back. ;o)

I wish I wasn't 4 hours from Portland. That would make it a lot easier to get out of here. I just saw that there is an airline offering really cheap flights into that Mesa airport you told me about.

Tuesday's good; how about 12:30?

Denise, the Mesa airport's only about 20 minutes away from Sky Harbor, so it's a great alternative.

Sounds good! I'll call you Monday to confirm.

Okay, I'll talk to you Monday.

Hey, Denise! I just checked Allegiant airlines, and they have flights from Medford for $29 each way. You have no excuse not to visit us!

My only excuse right now is I do have a job. I take off from work so often to come down there, I have to wait a little bit. Medford is 3 hours from me. I wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere!

Denise, too bad you weren't here today! Snowbird and I went to Pappadeaux's and then we went to the AZ state fair. It was fun! I ate my way through the fair but Snowbird was MUCH better about food! We went on rides, it was fun. I really enjoyed myself. Oh... then there was the petting zoo portion, all the little tiny baby animals, they were sooo cute!

No fair! I was sick today. I was really dizzy. I went to bed and slept for a few hours. That is very unlike me. Then I got up and slimed on a Protein drink. weird. I am fine now. I just ate some cheese with no trouble.

I am glad I have a dr.'s appointment next week. They said they would

x ray my stomach. They said that would be the cheapest. Can they see a slip with an x ray of the stomach? They said to look at it under

flouro would be $400

It is unlikely they can see a slip with a flat plate xray. Fluoro... whole different story.

If you get a negative diagnosis, there is a 50/50 chance they can see a slip. There is a 100% chance they can see a slip with fluoro.

cr@p! I don't want to pay $400 for fluoro ! I really need to come down there. I am not really having problems anymore but I just would rather be safe than sorry. There is someone who posted on here recently that went for a fill with fluoro and found out she had a slip with no symptoms at all.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
