kiz 1 Posted October 2, 2008 This is a small POSITIVE in the grand scale of things, but my rings have not been tight at night since I started this process. In the past, there would be evenings I had to struggle to get my rings off, due to swelling, and that's never a problem now.

TQUAD64 9 Posted October 2, 2008 What a great thread! Well medical advances are what I am thankful for. I had Laser Eye Surgery last year and I was really blind as a bat. No really, I couldn't even tell that my cat was on the floor and I would often accidently step on her. But not any more. I can see 15/20 and every day when I drive to work I count my blessings, because I can really see. This year, I am hopefully having banding surgery and I am thankful for the chance to improve my health. Next year, I am getting braces to straighten out my teeth. I am really grateful for medical improvements and insurance coverage that allows me to take advantage of these techniques. :cool2:
Kat817 19 Posted October 2, 2008 Tquad---I think you should also be thankful you had your eye surgery done first, if you got banded and braced first, you might have never recognized yourself!!! I think it is wonderful that you are taking such charge of your life!!GO YOU!!! Kat
luluc 6 Posted October 2, 2008 great thread~ i'm grateful that i'm going to be running my first 5k on saturday. a yr ago, the only chance you'd see me running is if i was being chased & even then i'd stop & trip the person rather than exhaust myself. i believe i'm extending & improving my life each day AND can appreciate the small stuff rather than let it exhaust me. A lot less 1 Posted October 2, 2008 I'm positive today........ I'm getting healthy not only for me but, for my grandbabies, DH and family. I have faith that I'll see them do all sorts of fantastic things. My only DD (36yrs. old) will be getting her Master's next March and I have faith that I'll see her march across that stage.
