MBB 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Hi I am new to the site. I had my band placed on 9/25/08. I waited a long time to get it done. I made it through okay. I went home late that eveing. My only problem has been the awful gas. It is getting better. Still on stage one of the diet, which is Clear Liquids. Not to bad. I was so nervous when I found out because they only gave me a weeks notice and I felt ill-prepared going into the surgery. Don't worry this is such a common procedure the doc could more than likely do it with their eyes closed(hopefully not though). Also I did not have to go through the nutritionist for my insurance either and that scared me I felt like I really wasn't sure if I could actually succeed without the proper training but so far so good. Is it under one of your incisions or just somewhere else. I have no idea where my port is, however I have one spot that is sore and there isnt an incision there. it is near the center of my stomach and at the waist line...not where I had heard they put it. You wouldn't be human if you weren't :-) I would start thinking about it & get myself saying " what if ". I just couldn't over think it lol! I did have about 2 days when i said I don't need surgery to do this/ then I realized YES I do! I have gained & lost 100's of pounds in my life.
