docscinder 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Hi everyone, I've been in here reading all I can about the surgery. I'm scheduled for the day after tomorrow and up until yesterday I was so anxious to have it done. Now I'm starting to be very nervous. is this normal? Did anyone else get frightened right before? I know I'm doing the right thing, but cant seem to shake the worry now. Any help would be sooooooo much appreciated:unsure: Cindy
Tamihott 0 Posted September 30, 2008 If I had not received the happy meds before surgery last Wed, I would have jumped off the gurney and not looked back. It is very normal. Thing is even after surgery you may find yourself having some doubt issues. I am hoping as soon as my eating gets somewhat back to normalcy these emotions will diminish. Good luck you will be fine. DanTheMan 0 Posted September 30, 2008 It will be over before you know it. Hang in there. My life was on the line...that's how I looked at it and my 8yo son was my motivation. I don't think I was on track to see him graduate high school. Comparitively speaking, for me, having the flu was worse then having the procedure plus teh recovery, IMO. Last time I got the flu, I thought I was going to die . . . for 3 days. I never thought I was going to die post op.
glorybee123 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I think almost everyone gets a bad case of nerves right before surgery. I don't regret getting the band. It's so much fun to watch the scale go down for a change!
