Do I need a fill

Recommended Posts

Ok pretty much I can eat anything never any problem until last night :cursing: I was eating and I got stuck, I had eaten this item before and got stuck, now could it be I just have a problem with this item or does it mean I still have restriction. I am confused on the restriction feeling.. Can someone explain?

You probably have a problem with this particular item. I have a few that I avoid like the plague because I REALLY hate being stuck. breads are on that list, but I still get fills because it will help me control the quantity of foods that don't get stuck.

Jill, I agree with Marie, this particular food item is most likely just going to be a problem food for you that you may need to avoid. For instance, it doesn't matter how tight or loose my band is, I cannot eat any types of bread or corn.

If you are finding that you are able to eat larger quantities of food than previously and you are getting hungry between meals, then it probably is time for a fill.

You're probably experiencing a clumping episode where the small particles of food are bunching together at the stoma and the combined mass can't slide through. This happens with dry meat for me. Doesn't matter how much I chew that pork chop, the itty-bitty meat fibers are going to bunch up. The only remedy is to eat super slow or eat a bite of something else with this food to help lubricate the particles.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
