Just my Size Yoga

Recommended Posts

I bought Just my Size Yoga on Amazon.com, and it is a really good DVD for anyone trying to get into a routine if you are larger and have trouble doing normal yoga.

I do. My body just is too round to put myself in some of the positions the regular yoga videos do.

Anyway just wanted to share. It isn't the kind of exercise that leaves you breathless (just a caution) and I probably wouldn't make it my only exercise, but it is enjoyable and you can feel it in your muscles when your done.

Check and see if your local yoga studio has a "gentle" class. I am in a gentle class and a lot of the people there are overweight or elderly, so everyone has some sort of adaptation to do!

I love it! I have tried doing a video but need to be there in person!

Is this the one with Megan Garcia? If so I have it and love it too... I was shocked at how much I was sweating at the end, Great workout without the pain afterwards.

Unfortunately the stupid city I live in has nothing but restuarants, bars, churchs, banks, and clothing stores, and the gyms we do have are pretty much for buff bodies, or skinny minnies. I do go work out, but they don't offer anything special

And I'm stuck here for another year, but soon I will move somewhere with more options....for EVERYTHING

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
