Pradice73 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I hope everyone faired well today. I did not have to be at the hospital until 10:45 and the surgery was delayed a bit. I did not get to my room until after 6pm. I did the 11 day pre-op diet and lost 13 lbs in that timeframe. As of the time of this posting (12:43 am) I have been up twice walking, pee'd twice (tmi i know) and just waiting for a big giant gas bubble. I do see the 'pain' that people talk about in their left shoulder. I have it myself but isnt too bad if I walk. ttyl
audreym 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I am so glad to hear things went well for you!! You are gonna be alright!! I am sure that you have enjoyed the scenic tour of the 4th floor at UCH. There was a group of us doing our laps with our IV poles - NASCAR in hospital gowns!! I get my first fill from Dr Dietrick next week (Oct 7th) - I'll let you know how it goes. I think I am more afraid of the Fill than the surgery (I was unconsious for the surgery and couldn't see that being done!). Keep me posted!! Audrey
Pradice73 0 Posted September 30, 2008 thanks. I made it home around 10am today and was doing fine till i took a nap. I laid down until i got up at 3pm and holy lordy. i ached all over but mostly in my belly and diaphram. As sad as it sounds i am just dying to let out one big fart.. my poor brother. i have tried laying on my side to help facilitate that but so far it isnt comfortable that way.
