July Butterfly NSV's!

Recommended Posts

Monday morning the student who pushes a cart around and collects the attendance for the office asked me if I had anything to give him. I thanked him and told him no. He turned around and walked away talking. I thought I heard him correctly and asked the paraprofessional with him what he said to make sure. The response..."You are getting too skinny!". I, of course, professed my love for him! Look below and notice I am very far from skinny, but he noticed my weight loss, which was very cool.

Well, thought I would wake up this thread. I am now the size I was when DH and I got married. I am going to get my wedding dress out so I can try it on again. Soon I will be smaller than I have been since DH and I met and got married!

I started out at a size 22, and am still wearing VERY loose size 20, and have ordered some size 18's. Still scared about trying them on, but excited at the same time. I also ordered a bunch of J Jill clothes today (they are having a HUGE sale) and ordered size XL tops instead of 2X!!! If they are a little snug when I get them, there is no way they are going back, because they are way too cute!

Went to the movies tonight with the kids and did NOT eat junk food!!! Was very tempted to get fast food on the way home, but I ate a salad once I got home. I CAN do this and I WILL do this.

Isn't it exciting to be starting out the new year with our tool already in place?! :cursing:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
