I have been doing amazing!!!! I am in a size 10 started at a 20. The other day I messed up and ate too fast, so for the last 2 days nothing will stay down. I remember reading that some times the Benadryl strips will take swelling away?????????? Has anyone heard of this? Any suggestions??

Are you on liquids? I would be doing liquids only for at least 24 hours, and then very soft foods for another day after that. If going on liquids doesn't do the trick, you may need a slight unfill. I've never heard anything about Benadryl strips helping with swelling.

You need an unfill if you can't keep down liquids. I was at that point at one time and had too much fill and couldn't swallow my own spit. You're not supposed to go too long with such a condition. Can you call your surgeon on call? Mine was able to meet me at the office to take out the excess after midnight. Hope you're doing better, Nancy.

I agree with everything I've seen. Since you're on liquids already and nothing will stay down, sounds like you're blocked and need to unfill to clear the blockage. I've had a similar problem about a year ago and with the unfill it clears up immediately. You'll have to stay unfilled for probably about a week or so until any swelling disappears (eating soft foods or liquids). Good luck. I know how uncomfortable this is.

I had the same thing occur. I needed an unfill - was using a spit cup all night long. The next time I was in a touch and go situation, I had some liquid benadryl before I got to the stage where I couldn't swallow my own spit. Then I sipped very slowly, just liquids, for about 2 days or so. Then I was extremely careful with mushies, and I was fine.
