??'s about "BOOBS"

Recommended Posts

I had a breast reduction 5 years ago and went from a DD to a C. I think that I'm in between a C - D now. After lap band surgery, did most of you find that you lost weight in your boobs. I'm hoping that I will lose a little but not much. Any comments are greatly appreciated. I just got approved for lap band and I am patiently waiting for a surgery date... or trying to be patient!! ahhaha

I first place I noticed my weight loss was my boobs. I was banded in July and have gone down from a DD to a D already. I will definitely need a lift in a year or so once I have lost all my excess weight.

We lose weight all over and since breast tissue is primarly made of fat that area is greatly affected. It was one of the first places that I lost - much to DH's detriment. I went from a DDD/DD (depending on the bra) to a full D. I used to have to buy a larger shirt because the girlies would make the buttons pop/gape, but now I'm more proportionate. I was too cheap to get my clothes altered - so I didn't look particularly put together. I will probably end up a C cup (that is what I wore as a teenager when I was my smallest). That would be okay with me. I'm sure I'll need a lift too as well as the much needed TT.

ive only been banded a little over 5 weeks and i have already gone from a D to C, and i have noticed that that is getting loose as well, My husband and i were talking about it on my walk this evening, i told him he could pick out the size and make of implants as i know i will be needing them in the future, good luck.

I have actually done the opposite. I went from a C to a D. I think it depends if the breast is really breast tissue or fat.

I plan on getting them revitalized when I get to goal. I am a DDD now I was D before I gained all the weight so I expect to lose a good bit and being larger already wanted a lift so I figure a lift and depending on where I end up some extra lol

Have gone from a full D to a scary looking C and I still need to lose another 15-20 pounds. So yes, a lift and fluff is definitely in order for me. Hope your results are different!

I KNEW I WOULD FIND A THREAD LIKE THIS, I JUST KNEW IT!!! I thought there is no way I could be the only one, because even though the band helps us lose weight significantly slower than other weight loss surgeries, the boobs have to droop if I was once at a healthy weight, then gained A LOT of weight, and now I'm losing the weight to go BACK to my healthy weight....

The breast tissue has stretched and there is no going back... EVER... again...ever :tongue2:

So, I spoke to my hunny today about opening a breast account and he is supportive, he wasn't as excited as I thought he'd be, I think he's an organic kind of boob guy.

But, our band sister said it right when she added to this thread by saying she went from a D to a SCARY C. I see my breast heading in the same direction. SOUTH.

I was really hoping to avoid a breast augmentation, but I used to be a full B at my healthy weight and I am now a DD. I've lost 17 pounds, I am a month post-op, and just with those 17 pounds, I can tell the difference in my breast.

So, I don't think I have a choice, unless I can use them as shoulder pads.

Good luck ladies!!!

I am a DD now and was a D before I gained all this weight. So I expect to go back down to a D. I havent had my band yet but I've already spoke with a plastic surgeon about a breast reduction and he said he absolutly will do it. However, I have to loose weight first so as soon as I have reached 6 months of being banded I will go back to see him and set a surgery date.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
