Maybe I should do a consult? my biggest problem area are my thighs. I'm pear shape. Also, my bat wings on my arm. I had Ulnar nerve surgery so that effected them too, I already have the scars, so getting them removed would be no big deal either, I'm used to the scars.

I missed my workout this morning, just had a horrible headache. But I'm planning on going tonight. I will get back on track with the morning exercises in the morning. I decided to take the day off today and switch it for Saturday.

Tonya: I cancelled that consult and now have another one on Friday... long story that I put on the PS board.... so the short of it is.. I may be having PS in OCTOBER... if not then it will have to wait until 2009..

Today is day TWO of eating clean and trying to shed this Water weight. I've been struggling with 8 lbs ever since returning from vacation and the unfil..... got my first glass of Water staring at me!

Tracy, so glad you pop in here every now and then and share with us. Thanks.

Tonya...too bad about the headache. I did a bunch of that last week...just needless stressing about nuttin!! As I've aged, my mind won't shut down like it used to.

I did some abdominal work this morning. I'm going to try for twice a day. When I try on new clothes...my gut still is tight on the pants. I see that it is smaller, and the tape says so, but it seems like the difference isn't there as much. Not to mention that my lower back is giving me fits and I've always heard that to strengthen your back...strengthen your abs. Have any of you tried those "plank" moves? Whew...I get in the position and hold it for a 10 count. I'm going to try to work on increasing that. But I was shaking!!

Hello! Well, I'm back! Don't know how much I'll be able to get on with baby girl around now, but I'll do my best.

I have my first fill appt on the 15th. :)

Juno, Congrats on your new baby. Way to go. You'll probably be too infatuated with her to spend much time with us...but whenever you can pop in ...you can keep us informed and we can give you support.

How is everyone else doing? My scale popped up a bit, but I'm focusing on getting it down again. Just Water I think as I had a salty taco salad for dinner. AND chips...shessshh!!

But I was very active both days...so..oh well, apparently not enough.

How about you?

Hey all. Just swinging by to check in. scale is stuck at 170. It doesn't want to give me the 160's, but I'm not giving up!

My son has been sick with strep and coxsackie virus, and I think I'm going down with it, it hurts to swallow. If I do come down with it, I think I will get to the 160's because you just can't eat - hurts too bad. So, I guess that would be the only good thing about coming down with it. lol.

Oh, I went for fill #13, my fill 11 & 12 quit working on me. Fill #13 seems to be doing pretty good. I'm so frustrated, my doc tells me this is Luck #13, so we will see.

It seems to being doing pretty good so far.

Well, hope all is well and will check in later, unless i'm sick - hehehe

Hi Tonya,

Sorry to hear you're coming down with the crud..sounds like yuck!!

Not much going here..not attending to my eating much. Need to get going. I think it is the colder weather and getting dark earlier. Altho, when I think about it I'm not eating too terribly bad because my appetite is down. I did make a wonderful dish of homemade clam chowder last night. Yummie. Left overs tonight. I was thinking I'd do a lot more Soups for dinner and am really frustrated with store bought due to the sodium....so, I've got a plan!

Hey Jammin January Bandsters - Happy Monday! I'm feeling on top of the world today, FINALLy out of the 170's and weighed in at 169.4 this morning. I know its probably just some Water weight. This weekend I was sick and in bed and could hardly eat a thing. I still have very tight restriction, I could only eat about 1 oz of chicken breast and was stuffed. (gotta love that)

I'm going to take advantage of this new wonderful restriction, while I can. You never know when it will leave me:wink2:

How is everyone else?

I will be leaving Sunday for a week in Florida, I have to go to a court case. I'm hoping to not gain weight while I am there!

Waaay to go Tonya. Too bad you were sick, but maybe if you stick with it you can keep that scale down where it belongs!!

Not much happening here...big blizzard this weekend so we hunkered down and didn't do a whole lot.

I forgot to weigh in this morning so I'll have to do my weekly check in tomorrow. No biggie...just got dressed before I hit the tape measure and scale.< /p>

I did go for a walk on Saturday, despite the cold and snow. I was getting a bit stir crazy so we went out and did some bird hunting. My Hankie found a boat load of grouse....so he did good. I was just marveling on how easy the walking was when usually I dreaded it. I'm so glad to have lost the weight I have and so glad to have gotten physically stronger. What a blessing! I love my band.

Good Morning! I did weigh in yesterday and am at a solid 202. And the measurements are looking good as well. I'm trying to convince myself to get with the program and get below 200...You'd think it would be a no brainer but my self-sabatour (however you spell it) is apparently happy to be above 200.

How are the rest of you doing?

Hey - good for you. Yes getting down below 200 is a major milestone. I know it was for me. And the further I get away from the 200 number, seems the happier I get. lol. I've been hovering around 200 for 20 years. I'm either right at 199 or 240+ - story of my life. I struggled for years to get away from it, but just never happened.

The day I did go below 200, I know the population on the other side of the planet felt the earth move....I was jumping up and down with excitement.

You'll get there, now is the time to get with it, your so close!!!!!!

Speaking of self-sabotager - THAT IS ME!!! I got to 167 the other day, and yesterday, ate all the bad stuff, today, was on the track to do it again....Why would I do sabotage myself? Anyhow, I think its the fat person fighting with our skinny self. Its like the two little men on your shoulder, ones the angel and ones the devil. This time the devil will not win! So, I slapped myself a few times and back in the game now. "Tonya, step away from the fork" - I have to tell myself that often you know. lol.

Anyhow, I'm too close to goal to sabotage myself, I just can't let myself do that - I won't let myself do that! So I must get with it and not let myself back slide. I really want to be at goal by our 2 yr Band Anniversary, which is fast approaching.

Well, gotta run - Have a good day.

Hey gals! I can't believe our huge group has dwindled down so far. I wish more peeps would come back and check in.

Well, I have 1cc in my band now. I do feel some restriction, so I'm glad for that. I have another appt in 4 weeks, and I plan to lose about 5 or 6 pounds by then. I think one more fill and I should be at a pretty good spot.

I haven't been cleared for exercise by my OB yet, so I'm doing what I can by watching the food intake. No more junk!

Hi Gals,

Alls well here...weight maintained...watched what I ate for the most part. And I'm on a Soup kick...homemade, so I think the calories are less, certainly the sodium!!

I also wish some of our old crowd would stop by, but I'm very happy with who is here, as well.

I wonder if they are either wildy sucessful and have moved beyond us or are struggling and afraid to admit it. Whichever...this is a good place and they can either help us or be with us in our struggle.

Hello everyone, I am MIA because I am in Miami, Florida on business. I am working from my laptop but the wireless connection is sooooo slow - I tried to post a few times but the internet would go down right when I tried to post. So frusterating.

I will be scared to step on the scales when I get home, I have not been eating good at all! Had Ruth's Chris steak (could not eat much) but ate the bread pudding - yum! Went to Margaritaville in Key West, ordered a hamburger - they have the best. For the first time I could not eat a hamburger or the bread, I actually PB'd. I was happy that I could PB. lol - I very rarely rarely PB. I've only PB'd twice in the 21 months of being banded. Anyhow, I was just glad I could feel restriction.

Well, signing off and headed to bed, I have a mediation bright and early in the morning. Its going to be a stressful day tomorrow. geeze. When I get back home, its straight to the gym for me. I feel so bloated eating so much junk!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
