LJB 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I hear some patients get a stuffed bear in the recovery room after the surgery from a nurse. Is that True? If so that's very sweet.
Guest BikiniBeachy Posted September 25, 2008 Awww, lol. I am thinking that probably varies by hospital, and if you stay overnight, right?
Babydolls 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I received a Teddy Bear from Cleveland Clinic. It was a called a "cough teddy bear" it was very hard, so when I needed to cough I would squeeze the teddy bear and it helped the pain. The nurse wouldn't let me get discharged until I had a productive cough.
ElusiveQuality 22 Posted September 25, 2008 I got one too. Used it for the coughing exercise (trust me, it helps a lot) and to wedge against my left side while I slept for the first month so I wouldn't roll over on my port incision. Cal
MissPaschally 0 Posted September 25, 2008 My dr gave out pillows that a support group makes each month with a very supportive note attached. It was also used for coughing.
