I am wondering if anyone else has had this. I am about 40 hours out from surgery. I am not running a fever but my face is flushed like I am. My face is the only thing on me that is very warm. I don't feel to bad other than tired and sore which I am sure are both normal. I have been drinking my Clear Liquids like I am supposed to until tomorrow then it is full liquids.< /p>

Any ideas or suggestions?

I had exactly the same thing happen and it was because my blood pressure was spiking. Take your pulse when it happens, if it is higher then 120 beats per minute call your doctor, however mine would go just to 110-120 and I would feel this way, face flushed but the rest of me was relatively cool. I just learned to live with it for a little while the "hot flashes" as I called then lasted about 5 days

Please read Salome000 post earlier today. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f178/warning-77964/

Hers was a little bit more than just red. But please read.

Yeah I read her post and I freaked out. I did call my doctor this morning. I was having an allergic reaction to the hydrocodone. He instructed me to take benadryl with my pain reliever and that helped alot.

Thanks for your help!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
