necerae 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I'm lost, is this where I am suppose to put my first post? I clicked on FAQ and it said that page could not be found. Is "a new thread" the same thing as a new post? I just found at the bottom of the page the button that said "new thread" My surgery was a week ago Monday and I am having some pain issues with what someone called esophageal spasms. Any one heard of them???

sistasassy 6 Posted September 24, 2008 I was just in the ER two weeks ago for the same spasms. They gave me a GI coctail to stop them and I got better. I was having them because I was drinking ice cold Protein shakes.....like icy milkshakes. They started the spasms which in turn over stimulated the vegus (sp) nerve which threw my heart out of sync. Was a bad day for me. :rolleyes2: The GI coctail numbed everything from my lips to my stomach and stopped the spasms. I was better within about 30 minutes after suffering for about 6 hours total. necerae 0 Posted September 24, 2008 Okay, call me a dummy, I still cant seem to figure out how to post on the general "new posts" section. What is the difference between a post and a thread? Thank you, Dneise
Shamrockgirl60 1 Posted September 29, 2008 A thread is a number of posts (and replies) with a title. A post is a reply to the first post in a thread, it's continued posts/replies. Hope that helps.
