3ShotRoc 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Wow! This is exactly what I have been looking for. I'm so tired of talking to women about the band, I have been looking for a group of men to share stuff with. I'm new here just got my band on Aug 12, 2008 and have lost 44lbs. I get my first fill tomorrow and was wondering how it effected you all eating red meat? Have any of you tried eating deer meat? Great to be here, hope to get to meet some of you all.
Bucktober 4 Posted September 23, 2008 ive had ground deer meat (sometime between first and second fill), but that and a little bit of tender brisket is the only red meat ive had since my surgery (6/20/08). neither seemed to bother me.
3ShotRoc 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Good I still have a lot left over from last year and was hoping I would still be able to eat it.
AirKuhl 1 Posted September 23, 2008 I've had elk and wild boar, anything will go down if you chew it long enough.
bindi2203 0 Posted September 23, 2008 thankgod for mens chat, came in here just to see what it was like, too much testosterone for me, what with elk, wild boar and deer meat, thank god i have chosen to become vegetarian, bring on the tofu sausage, and the not turkey, and not bacon. good luck with your journeys boys. plain 12 Posted September 24, 2008 I just had my first fill today so I'm looking forward to making a dent in the Deer meat that I still have. Any of you tried Duck or Dove? I've had dove post band. It was a little dry (fried), so I had to chew really well and eat very slowly. Oh, and try and avoid swallowing any shot, lol.

Don 5 Posted October 4, 2008 Finally gotmy consult appointment on November 20th. Were you all as impatient as I am about this whole process? I took a long time to make up my mind and now that it is made up I would just as soon as it would be done tomorrow.
bassriley 0 Posted October 5, 2008 I was also very impatient. But I will say, looking back I'm glad I had the time it took to get ready for the surgery-I needed the time to really be ready. Keep in mind-you've got the rest of your life-a few months won't make a huge difference. But it is hard to wait. I'm having my first fill tomorrow, so I'm excited to see if I start to feel some restriction!
JayTee562 1 Posted October 5, 2008 Finally gotmy consult appointment on November 20th. Were you all as impatient as I am about this whole process? I took a long time to make up my mind and now that it is made up I would just as soon as it would be done tomorrow. I understand what your feeling my company is changing my insurance on 1/1/09 and I'm concerned that the current company will either put me off till after then or if I get started on the road to approval but don't get my surgery till after 1/1 that the new company will start the process over. Ii know it will be a long road but I'd rather get the surgery part over with.
