I'm nearly at the same place. I had my second fill. Did okay until early evening when spasms started in. Spent the entire night awake and vomiting/sliming. Next day the doc said that he had patients that would kill for my fill and didn't remove anything. I'm slowly getting back the ability to eat tiny quantities. It's been more than two weeks and I'm still suffering. Sometimes I can eat a small bit and others I can't get even two bites down without sliming and pb'ing. I'm pretty miserable, but am going to stick it out a bit longer. I'm due back in his office on 10/9, but may not go at this point. If it doesn't get better quickly then I'm going to ask for a partial unfill.

I hope it get's better for both of us SOON!!!

Barbara

And by the way, my ticker is wrong... I've lost about 67 lbs now.

I have had my band for a year and am pretty much at my goal at 135 pound 64.5 inches tall. I never felt that tight and don't think it is best for you to be forced to stay so tight. You should be able to chew cooked tender meats and vegies of about 8-12 ounces. Feel full for 4 hours and not gag or throw up slim etc......

I would have told the doctor to kiss my ass! Somebody else can have my fill, there's no reason why he should be so "bothered" that you may have to take some out. Everybody is different. I had my second fill the Thur before last and have been on and off sick. Some things go down but then all of a sudden I'll have a bad day. I go Wed. to get a fill, but it might be any unfill.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
