You will lose more as you and your doctor work to get you to the right restriction. It may take a few fills but it will happen. What you are experiencing is what all of us have to experience in this journey, it is perfectly normal. It is happening because your band is empty and you are pretty much working on willpower alone. Just stay calm and be patient.

For Breakfast I have eggbeaters (1/2cup) with diced ham, and/or a little shredded cheese or mushrooms and swiss cheese.

I also have oatmeal cooked in skim milk but it doesn't seem to be as filling. Sometimes I just have tuna.

For lunch I buy the flavored tuna or have leftover fish or chicken with a little salad greens or a high Fiber veggie

For dinner I have meat and veggies.

In between meals I have my shakes and Protein.

I do not eat starches, breads or sugar because it just makes me crave more food. I know that before I had my first fill, I had slight restriction. So I always try to eat solid foods because they keep me full longer (soft foods like oatmeal, cottage cheese, Soup etc. don't keep me satisfied.) Protein keeps you full so always eat it and eat it first.

Krisylyn, try going to "Food and Nutrition" . There is a thread there called "Share ideals, what you ate today". There are lots of ideas for meals.

If you choose lean meats and Beans and cook them properly (grill, bake or broil) and considering the quantity that you will be eating you shouldn't be concerned with cholesterol at all.

Eggbeaters has no cholesterol. Fish, white meat chicken and turkey are low in fat and cholesterol.

And due to all the soluable Fiber in Beans, they can actually help lower cholesterol. (good choices are navy, pinto, black, chickpea, and butter beans).

There are plenty of lowfat/low cholesterol recipes online, just Google it.

cheese should be used sparingly and you can get the Lowfat varities.

Thanks everyone for the advice..It seems like sinse he took out my 1cc, like I can eat anything.Even bread and chicken that use to get stuck..Right now I am trying my hardest to get a hang of the can chicken, tuna, and imation crab meat..i added eggs, mustard, relish, etc..and It's getting better for me..I seem to want it with crackers..But I try to eat it just like that..I may have like 5 crackers with it..So I am trying...

As for sweet Mama, I hope you get the help you need..I know how you feel, I am in the same boat..Maybe go to one of your support groups and ask people there for help..Maybe someone is or did what you are doing..It might help...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
