Try the Fiber One Carmel Delight. It's super high in fiber and as you know, things highest in fiber will keep you full longer. It tastes good too!

It has like 9 grams of fiber per serving. Just be sure to watch your carb count the rest of the day is all!!! :crying:

i was never a milk drinker prior to banding - didn't do cereal for that reason, but my tastes have changed drastically & i actually crave milk/diary - every day....and have it.

last night for diner i was craving PB&J and HAD to have a cold glass of milk with it..:crying: that was SO foreign to me pre-banding!!

Hopefully you didn't have your PBJ and milk together. That sounds like drinking with a meal. I am sure it tastes great, but unless it is on cereal or in cream of wheat, shouldn't you be waiting 45 minutes to drink it?

yes i had the 2 togeter & i drink w/my meals. my dr does not require one to wait a period of time after eating to resume drinking.

i've read enough to know why drs' have "this" rule - it's never been a problem for me; i maintain a certain calorie intake / workout / lost the weight i needed to / don't see my food flushing if it actually sustains me.

i don't advocate it, because it's my drs instructions - maybe not someone elses; but if asked i'm pretty honest that it's never been an issue for me...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
