I LOVE Lands End!

This may be the wrong forum to post this in, if it is I'm sure the mods will move it, but I wanted to share a wonderful story with you guys.

I've lost 80 pounds since I was banded in March of 2007. I am a professional woman and have to wear a suit to work everyday. Needless to say, the cost of clothes has been a serious problem as I've been coming down over the past year and a half.

In February I ordered about $400 worth of clothes including a whole bunch of their button down no-iron shirts. They were great (I prefer the brooks brothers shirts but the cost was too much considering they wouldnt fit for long). I wore the shirts for about a month and then... as expected... they were too big. I called back and ordered a whole bunch more in a smaller size.

Three weeks ago I called to order (what I hope is) my final size. The really nice rep on the phone helped me find the order number for the style I wanted (no longer online) and she saw the past orders. I mentioned that I had lost quite a bit of weight and the clothes no longer fit. She told me that they will take them back even though they were worn and there is no time limit! So, I re-ordered the clothes and promptly mailed back all of the clothes from the two previous orders. I got the credit on my card today. I only wish I had known about their policy sooner! You dont need to keep the receipts, just keep the order number (or store it online).

Hope that helps some people out there look good! :)

True... and although I love the tax deduction from dumping stuff at goodwill, I'd much rather have clothes that fit without maxing out my credit cards!

Thanks for the reminder - Lands End is fabulous and I love their button downs, too! Was just saying to a friend that when I lose weight I plan to buy a fab wardrobe for work from them.

Gosh! How great. I have ordered from Lands End alot. I love their bathing suits. They last great for Water aerobics.

When I get into the smaller clothes, I will definitely order from them again.

Thanks for the info.

WOW! I didn't know this, and I just dragged 2 garbage bags of gently used LE clothes to Goodwill. So now I know for next time. Thanks for the reminder; wish I had seen it sooner!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
