New Whey Protein Bullets - INFO

Recommended Posts

Thanks so much for the info you guys! I have been trying to drink those Isopure Water type drinks, and those have 40 grams of Protein but thats for the whole bottle, which is huge and hard to get down!

That should be right up your alley then, they are only 3 oz. per bullet. Since you only need to drink half of the 42g bullets, that should be easier to get down. They also sell a 25g bullet, but it costs about the same as the 42g. Why pay the same for less Protein? I will have to taste the orange soon and post how it tastes.

I take 8 oz of Water (in 16 oz Water bottle) and add my 42 gr bullet -- then drink half at one meal and half at another.

Helps tremendously.

You can freeze slightly for the slushy effect.

Are the Walmart kind the same as far as calories and stuff? I cna't believe that I bought online and then GNC when Wally has them...I'll have to check them out.

I bought fruit punch first and could hardly choke it down, although was trying it plain. I put 2 tsp splenda in it and it made it slightly better.

This time I bought grape and mix it with a 20 oz grape drink mix in a 1 litre bottle and I can't even taste it. I do only take 1/2 at a time, but that's cause of the cost not cause of the absorbable Protein.< /p>

Haven't had surgery yet, so I still have room in my stomach. I mix up a half-liter bottle of Water with a Crystal Light single or something similar, pour in a large glass and add one bullet. I put the whole thing over ice and have a "cocktail." I couldn't get down the Protein on its own. Maybe downing it like a shooter would help when my stomach is smaller.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
