Yahoo!!! 70 pounds, Baby!

Recommended Posts

I hit that 70 pound mark today! I'm finally losing at a pretty good pace again, at least this week. I'm now just one pound from a "normal" BMI! I bought a size 10 pant suit yesterday, and it fits!! Yahoo! I love my band!

Just when I get happy, DH brings me crashing down. I told him that I have now lost 70 pounds, and he said, "So another 30 to go, right?" He says he was just kidding, but now I'm totally obsessing. If I lost another 30 pounds, I'd weight less than my 17 year old daughter, and she's thin! That's not right, is it? I wish he would think before he opens his fat mouth! AAARRRGGG!

And girl, that was one cute suit you had on today at lunch! was it the chocolate brown one? it looked fantastic on you. You do not need to lose another 30 lbs.. I'm being honest woman. You looked like a little model!! And thanks again for donating all your bigger clothes to Crystal De Poor! You have some good taste!

Yes, the brown suit I had on at lunch today is the new one I wrote about earlier in this thread. I love it, too. Thanks for the sweet compliments!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
