hersheymalone 0 Posted September 16, 2008 My surgeon just spoke to the medical director @ UHC and they said they need an accurate height and weight b/c I have too many listed that are different. I need to gain 5-10 lbs really quick and I don't know what to do.... like before 9am in the morning. Please help and it doesn't need to be obvious..... I live in Texas so I can't wear 3 pants and sweaters.... HELP!!!! Any advice????
LiveLoveLaugh 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Rolled coin in your socks and bra... It works great!!
LiveLoveLaugh 0 Posted September 16, 2008 Noone will ever know it's in there... I had a friend tape them to her ankles so they wouldn't fall out.. Wear loose legged pants to go in.... Do they weigh you bare footed....... The bra always works and drink a butt ton of Water right before weigh-in also!!
jmegirl 2 Posted September 16, 2008 eat a huge meal of Pasta, potatoes and bread for dinner, as well as an early Breakfast - i suggest getting up at 6am to eat a huge breakfast. the rolled coin trick will add about a pound, and drinking a lot of Water in the 12hrs before the weigh-in will also add about a pound or two. good luck! hersheymalone 0 Posted September 16, 2008 I am so nervous about getting caught yet it all depends on this! I think I might try ankle weights also around my waist. Do you think the doctors office would "fudge" a little? I am scared to ask.... I am borderline........
jmegirl 2 Posted September 16, 2008 This is why I opted to self-pay. No weight requirements! No psych eval! No nutritionist appointments! No begging and pleading with insurance only to be denied! Gosh, I don't envy you at all. Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

hersheymalone 0 Posted September 16, 2008 If I drink a lot of Water 12 hrs before, will it not flush me out and make me lose weight? Oh geezz,,, I'm sooooo nervous!!!
Minxz 0 Posted September 16, 2008 The sodium in the Chinese foods will help you retain Water. (can't believe I said that lol) Wear heavy clothes thick jeans and a Heavy sweater. If they weigh you with shoes boots maybe?
Michele777 0 Posted September 16, 2008 This has been done before. A lady posted that she used the ankle weights and they worked like a charm. The doctor is not going to frisk you (lol). I would do the ankle weights, eat mexican or chinese the day before and right before your appoinment drink lots of Water. Maybe put some rolled coins in your pocket or bra. GOOD LUCK!! RestlessMonkey 7 Posted September 16, 2008 Don't ask the doc's office to lie for you though...they can lose licensure etc. They may not look too closely if you jingle when you come in (LOL) but asking them to add a few on will just put them in an awkward position. Good luck!
