Cerrin,

That's probably exactly what you need. Start slowly back at the gym and take it one workout at a time. Get the fill and get back on track. As Chris said, the tool is there for you for whenever you're ready to use it. When you're able to focus on yourself, it'll be there. May today be just the new beginning you need! Good luck! Paige

Cerrin . . . good for you getting back to the gym . . .and hope you got your fill! As for me, I've had major acid reflux, and today he took 1 cc out of my 10 cc band, leaving me with 0.75 . . . omg I'm going to really have to watch it now . . . but I was so miserable! If you EVER start getting acid reflux, get into the doc NOW . . . it was instant relief to get it losened up . . . I was eating tums like they were candy this weekend.

Chris

Well I am a definitly tight today. All my other fills I have been able to eat mushy and soft foods with no problem the day after the fill...right now I have SF pudding and have only been able to eat about half of one of those cups. And I am full...burping full. lol Yep this is what I needed. Thanks for the encouragement. I needed this tight fill to make myself get back on track.

OH, Chris...that's not comfortable at all. I had a few days with that horribly at night, so much so that Tums didn't relieve it. I had an unfill 3 days later and lost 6 pounds. I couldn't even drink Water by the time I had the fill removed! It's just miserable.

Cerrin,

I'm so glad to hear you've gotten a fill. Sometimes that's all we need to get us back on track. My surgeon doesn't allow anything but liquids for day 1 and soft foods on day 2. Be careful and go slowly...it's strange to have restriction again when it's been a while since you've had it! Good luck! :cursing:

I had a whole chicken breast for goodness sake. lol I am just glad I have the band. there is no telling how much I would have eatten without it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
