armored deviled ham and roast beef?

I am on day 6 post surgery and the list from my doctor says "pureed meat".

What is that ? The only non baby food thing I can think of is the armored deviled ham/ roast beef stuff ( which, while not a porterhouse, is ok).

Is it safe to try this now? Does that qualify for pureed, or is it to the baby food aisle. ( sounds really really gross)

when i did pureed meat i did the devil ham, and they (armored) makes chicken in a can too....a couple of times i pureed my own meat that i cooked...i bought a magic bullet and you can put anything through that! also very fine tuna fish with a little mayo. i even did corn beef hash.....and chilli....with no beans...(i have a very weird hate/hate relationship with beans!)

I have heard of sliced turkey pureed with a bit of yogurt...ask Jack about this one, he seems to have the tasty recipes for pureed meats.

I like the canned meats (like the Roast Beef) because they are creamy enough you don't have to blend them. If you take small enough bites and liquify before swallowing, it could be good. BUT, they are SOOOO full of sodium. I had it in the cupboard but really just lived without meats until later. Got my protien from shakes.

Good luck!

I got the light vienna sausages and squished them up with a fork. I thought I had died and gone to heaven after two weeks of liquid mush. Now, it doesn't sound so good. :)

Good Luck!

when I was a baby I insisted that vienia sausages were baby candy, and that sugar candy wasn't good for babies. They are still known as "baby candy" in our family...

I like liverworst blended with cream cheese and some spices, depending on my mood...
