I think I've joined ww at least 20 times in the last 10 years!! Often I join twice or even 3 times in a year, do it for a month or so and quit. I even once got the 16 week pin... sad thing was in that 16 weeks, I hadn't even lost 16 pounds! (too much up and down from week to the next losing the same 2-3 pounds and gaining it back!)

Now I sort of want to join ww just to get those pins and keychains and things.

I never, never, ever, got my 10%. In the last 4 weeks, I have totally lost 10% of my weight!

Does anyone else feel this way? I feel it's a bit like revenge!

I did the same thing with WW. I know how you feel. I never made it to my 10% I don't think I every lost over 20lbs with it but I would love to go back just to see if I can.

I'm so feeling it also. I never got to my 10%, I never got a pin, a key chain or any thing else but boy did they get my money! If I had just taken that money and got my surgery I would be a very happy camper.

And I dont know about anyone else but every time I went there (which was alot) they were always bashing wls. They went on and on about doing it on your own and of course there is always someone who knew someone who almost died.

I'd like to see them now! Tina

I think WW offers two very healthy diet options. I plan, once I can actually eat, to follow a more Atkins type diet for weight loss, but WW is a balanced plan. I don't tolerate band bashing from my friends who do WW and I don't think it's right to bash WW either. It works for a lot of people...and weight loss is supposed to be slow and steady, not fast. Actually the 1-2 pound loss on the band is comparable to the 1-2 pound loss WW averages.

I may go, once I've lost a bit on my Atkins, just to remind me to get a more balance, healthy diet. Yes, it's a business, but what's wrong with that? Next to the band or WLS they have the highest success rate in the nation.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
