Down another 4lbs

Recommended Posts

Well, I was disappointed went for my 7 week follow up and 2nd fill and only down 4 more pounds, BUT I have to say I'm headed in the right direction. The PA told me to start excercising more. Five days after my 1st fill I had to go back due to excessive vomiting and I get an unfill, the PA told me that I am behind schedule far as cc's are concern, I should have more in my band at this point, but because of my problem they don't want to put in too much and have me come back again due to vomiting, so they are going to take it slow with me. My first fill was 1.75cc, then unfilled -.25cc, today they filled me another +.35cc's for a total of 1.85cc. The office said to come back in 8 weeks and then they will put me on a regular fill scheduled, don't know what that meant. Anyone I'm happy, I haven't seen these numbers on the scale in about 3 years.

CONGRATS!

I think a slow and steady loss is great! I am moving at about the same pace as you and I so far have no sagging skin yet but have lost nearly 40 pounds.

Hurrah Corgi! You are doing great! Adding excersize is probably always a good idea, but "behind schedule?" (looks perplexed...) what an odd concept.

Huge Congrats on your weight loss , I am happy for you andalso glad you got the tight fill taken care of, Very Smart!

the PA told me that I am behind schedule far as cc's are concern, I should have more in my band at this point

Do not take this the wrong way but how does your PA know this? Everyones fill level and level of restriction is so different. I may have 1cc's and have great restriction where as someone else may have 1cc and not have any restriction. You have only been banded for 3 months and have all ready had 2 fills, I do not think that is behind at all. I had 3 fills in 14 months which validates my point that everyones restriction is different.

La Madam, I agree maybe I heard her wrong, but I thought that was what she said. I hope to stay at 1.85cc's for a while now. Hope you are well...

Corgi

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
