TLC223 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Hi Everyone! I sure could use some advice. I was banded August 6th. I have very little restriction, and while I eat way less than I used to, I still find it difficult to only eat when I am hungry or stop when I should. When I finally find my sweet spot, my hope is that I physically won't be able to do that. Any one else with this problem? Any advice or words of wisdom? Thanks! krtork 0 Posted September 15, 2008 Have you had your first fill yet? That really made a difference for me. Really work on your portion size and try to just eat that. I know it can be hard, but I put all my food on a small plate or in a small bowl and make sure I just eat my serving. I have also found that eating "real" food helps me feel full. If I eat food that just slides through I have the same problem and want to eat much sooner. Make sure you are drinking your Water in between - that will help you feel full between meals too. I think head hunger is the hardest thing to fight, it feels so real. Good luck, keep working and the scale will move down!
Eat2Live 0 Posted September 15, 2008 Its not conventional but I took a post-it note, wrote down 5 things I will love about my new life when I've lost the weight and keep it in my wallet. When I'm experiencing head hunger I read them...and I think to myself "Will eating now get me closer to these 5 goals..." Don't be scared to play mind games with your mind... AirKuhl 1 Posted September 16, 2008 Brush your teeth, then go find something to do. Amazing how that toothpaste taste turns off your hunger for a little. Worst case, you have whiter teeth.
