Protein and Fiber drink mixes

Recommended Posts

Howdy, I see a lot of people here talking about using Crystal Light and wanted to see if you all had found the South Beach Living Tide Me Over or the K2O Protein Water drink mixes. I prefer the taste of the Tide Me Over over the K2O but they both give your water more than just flavor, they have a little bit of protein and a good bit of Fiber in them ;)

They cost more than Crystal Light, and they add 30 calories instead of 10, but I find I have a hard time getting in enough protein and fiber with my smaller portions, having this added to my water bottles a couple times a day really helps.

Yes, I drink the K20 Protein waters and I think they are worth the extra calories as well, because I needed the extra help in the beginning getting all my Proteins. The pre-mixed ones in the bottle have more calories and carbs than the powder mixes do, so I use the powder and add to my own Water. Where do you find the Tide Me Over drinks? I'm here in Texas and if I can find them I would like to try them also. I know this may sound strange but for the first two or three weeks plain water gave me indigestion so without the K20 water I would have dehydrated! ~LOL~

The Tide Me Over is with the Crystal Light and similar drink mixes, there are only 2 flavors so they don't take up much shelf space. I also prefer to use the mix cause to me they are too strong in 16 ounces so I use the 20 ounce Water bottles.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
