Well I'm feeling really good for only 5 days out- I do still have some pressure in my chest every once in a while which I think is the leftover gas- My port insicion def hurts the most- Every time I try to get up the wrong way I remind myself- but like you, I have no other pain in the other three incisions. - I got on the scal today and I am down 8lbs from surgery- My cravings for food are getting worse though- I don't think its actual hunger just pure missing it- I don't know about anyone else but I am still on full liquids for another week- I never thought I would want mushies so bad

Anyway- going back to work Monday we will see how it goes- I hope everyone else is doing this well or better:laugh:

Angie, you will think that first mushy meal is the best food you have ever tasted. Mine was a scrambled egg. I was allowed this on day 8. It was yummy! Good luck when you go back to work.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
