Fill Dr in Memphis or North MS-lapband in Mexico

Recommended Posts

hello rebrph, Who is doing ur refills? I going to have my lap band done on May 18th in Monterrey,MX. Theses US doctors think it's a sin to go out of this country. They are rude and it uncall for for calling themselves MD. I live in Batesville and wanted to know who you are using if ur using the nurse I've heard all good things about her.

I just had my first fill done a couple of weeks ago by the nurse in Tupelo, MS. She was great and only charged me $100. If anyone wants her name just let me know.:D

Could you please give me the name, phone and other details about the nurse in Tupelo that does lapband fills. Many thanks for your help.

Here is the information I have and which came from lapbandtalk.com

The fill nurse in Tupelo's name is Margaret. Her number is 662-346-3307. She is really nice and she does the fills out of her house. It was kinda of weird at first but she knows exactly what she's doing and provides a clean environment and is super flexible with her time. She charges $100 and she will see you as many times as it takes to get you right without charging you for every visit.

This was sent to me by another member of this board.

I found the Fill Centers USA in Nashville to be a wonderful place, and well worth the 100+ mile drive I make to it. They are caring and compassionate, they do not rush, and they make sure you understand everything before you leave. I found a local doctor in Huntsville, Alabama that would take me after having the procedure in Mexico, but he verbally abused me so badly I searched until I found the fill center in Nashville. I am self-pay and found the annual plan at Fill Centers USA to be more reasonable that the local doctors also.

I think they are on the web at fillcentersusa.com.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
