WOW! I feel So FULL!!

Recommended Posts

I am amazed at how full I feel on my soft foods!!

Today I ate:

Breakfast - 1 oz tuna (I would have had eggs or something but hadn't been to the store yet!)

Snack- 1 oz tuna

lunch - 2 morning star farms chik nuggets, 1 slice of zucchini (cooked), 1 bite of canned diced peaches (those little snacky ones in the plastic to go container that go in kid's lunches)

snack - sample of polenta at grocery store

dinner - ???

I know I should have slowly introduced these foods, rather than eat so many different things.

It's amazing to me that I ate lunch as 12:30, had the snack around 3:00 and am still STUFFED feeling!

I was banded last Thursday, and I still feel full on my liquid diet. I start mushies tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to eating some different foods, but it's not because I'm getting hungry yet. Believe me, I'm not complaining! It's been amazing.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
