Hi All,

Sorry I have been MIA. I had some major family issues to deal with the past few weeks.

I hit below 200! I am very excited as you can imagine. It has been over 5 years since I have been below that number and the only reason why was due to complications due to a surgery.

I have had a bit of fun trying on stuff that formally did not fit me and now they do. I was very excited when I found that a faux fur coat I bought quite a while ago (it was too small but I thought I could lose to get into it) now fits! It is on its way of being too big. I will be able to wear a big sweater underneath it.

I am scheduled for a fill this friday but I don't know if I will get it. I don't have the huge hunger issues that others have. I am getting in about 800 calories a day. I do get full after the 1/2 cup meal that takes me about 15/20 minutes to eat. I will be calling them today to see what they suggest. They may want to wait another week.

What do you think? Should I hold off?

Gilta

Hope all is ok now!!

I say if you are losing and are full after the 1/2 cup then why get a fill? I wish I was in the same boat!

What size band do you have?

I have a 15 cc band and they put about 2cc at the time of the surgery.

Thanks for the advice.

I was banded on August 12th, and I've lost 19 lbs. I'm scheduled to see the doctor the end of September for a "possible" fill. My doctor said even if I was loosing only a pound a week, they would not fill me. I need to have stopped loosing all together to require a fill. I'm a little bumbed because although I lost 16 pounds in the first 2 weeks, I'm loosing pretty slowly now. I guess I shouldn't rush things and be greatful for any loss at all. I'm not hungry, I have no restriction and I feel great! What weight I have lost has just fallen off. I don't feel like I've done anything, except eat a whole lot less and not be hungry every second of every day. I could live like this!

Gilta - Congrats! I've been hovering at 200/200.5 for the last couple of days, so I'm looking forward to joining you soon. :rolleyes2: You sound like you're doing well as you are - maybe wait another week and see if things hold steady/keep moving and then decide? I don't go for my first fill until Sept. 24 (decided to wait another week since we're going away for our anniversary on the 21st - didn't want to cope with the newness of a fill on a long weekend away!).

Whatever you decide, glad to hear your family situation is doing better, and again, congrats on your success thus far!

Congrats on onederland! I can't wait to get there! I hope the family issues are settled. Sounds like you are doing great without the fill. Keep up the good work!
