Back to work tomorrow!! ACK!

Recommended Posts

Well my days of being a woman of leisure are up!! i head back to work tomorrow

What really sucks is right when i go back to work the weather is getting better and the sun is out shining (Tshirt and jeans weather! My favourite:cool2:)

I am feeling a whole lot better especially since they staples came out. i just hope I don't get uncomfortable sitting up for extended periods in a chair. I'm going to have some painkillers and anti inflammatories with me to be safe (as suggested at my checkup).

I'm back home now and it is nice being in my own bed...I spent the past few weeks at mums because A) she has Foxtel (cable tv) and :woot: she cooked meals for me and my dad

I just hope work isn't too stressful, just before I went on leave there were some problematic collegues causing grief...I hope they have managed to pull their heads in and be positive and encouraging to my team.

Well going to get my hair done (my roots are BAD )

Good luck going back to work. I know it is nice to be waited on!

I was exhausted my first week back even though I have a desk job. Just take your time and meds if you need them.

How was going back to work? I hope thing is going well!

It was ok. I have been very tired though by the time I get home. I have been trying to move a bit more because sitting in a chair can get really uncomfortable after a while!

But hey an NSV I've been able to fit into a pair of pants I haven't worn in probably 1 year or more!!

I've also been feeling a little sick by hte end of the day but that may be because i'm not burping and farting as much so I have it all inside by the end of the day! :tt2:

Most people have made comments on my hair...probably because it is an easier thing to comment on (a bit blonder than previous colours and it was out and nicely straightened because normally I can't be bothered and put it in a ponytail ) I had two girls comment on how much weight I'd lost, one who knows and another who doesn't know which was nice :tt2:

When you put it like that it is exciting...though I think that my real excitement will come when i reach 90kgs (7.2kgs to go) and below because i haven't been under that in about 9 years!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
