First Dietician visit.

Recommended Posts

Good morning Bandsters!

My first dietician meeting is tomorrow. I was wondering what I can expect to learn from this appointment and about how long is the first appointment?

My dietician visit was real about 30 minutes long and basically she just ask me about my eating habits and gave me some papers I guess to help make healthy choices. It wasn't really that big of a deal. Of course then she was the one who held up my insurance approval for no reason at all so go figure!

I guess it depends on what you are meeting for. If this is your "let me tell you how you're going to eat after surgery," it is a helpful appointment to get the information on what you'll be eating in the liquid stage, the mushie stage, and onward. I got info on which Protein drinks I was allowed, what Vitamins I needed to get, and a basic idea of how I should stock my pantry for those first few weeks. That appointment took 30-45 minutes.

Good luck getting ready!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
