Melisa1 0 Posted September 8, 2008 I just had my sleep study done. all i needed was my jammies. Since you are going early in the eveining, bring your favorite magazines, maybe a light snack and a bottle of Water. Thats all you really need. I got up in the morning, threw on my clothes and was outta there!! Good luck!

cindersnaz 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Hi Froggi - For me, the most important thing that I brought along was my body pillow!!! I never leave home without it and since I would be in a strange place/bed, I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. The study isn't so bad, really. The staff at my sleep Center were very sweet and even watched TV with me before lights out! Good luck with yours -

Melisa1 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Yeah you can bring as much as you want but i guess it depends on how far you have to drive home. I was close so i threw my clothes on and drove home to shower and get ready for my day. depends on what you are doing and how far away you are.
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted September 8, 2008 Froggi "woobie" is from the old movie with Michal Keaton..Mr. Mom? It was the little kid's name for his favorite blanket LOL So my husband and I call any cuddle object a woobie.
h@rt*s mommy 1 Posted September 8, 2008 All I have to say is I am SO GLAD I am done with that whole mess.. with them sticking stuff in my hair, and on my face.. I HARDLY would call it a sleep study, cause I didnt even sleep... I kept pulling the stuff off my face cause I like to sleep on my stomach. Good luck.... bring your own pillows. They didnt seem to have enough for me.
misskitty84 0 Posted September 8, 2008 I brought jammies (a comfy shirt and pj pants), a snack, my sleeping pills, a book, clothes for work the next day, and stuff to shower with. They told me to bring my own pillow in the info packet but they had pillows on the bed.
Froggi 4 Posted September 8, 2008 The paper says I can shower there...but I am not. I am going to shower before I go and then once I finish my other tests that morning I will go home and shower.
misskitty84 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Just some advice Froggi.. I would shower there in the morning. They use a really sticky paste all over your face and even in your hair to stick the electrodes in. For my second sleep study I did it on a weekend and didn't shower until I got home and the feeling was so gross.
