Lollies, I just love lollies, not that I had them regularly, maybe 100g once a month. Anyway I was driving around a few days ago and I realised I don't think I can ever have lollies again (I was banded 3rd Sept). God i'm going to miss them, snakes were my favorite. Oh well I guess i'll just have to settle with being healthy and sexy.

BURGERS! I simply can not eat a hamburger and boy do i miss them! Its been over 2 years since ive had a fast food hamburger and my god did i LOVE WHOPPERS. I swear i salivate when fastfood commercials come on tv. I seriously wonder if the cravings will ever go away, after all this time being banded you would think they would have subsided but NOPE.

biggest food i will miss

Pasta, i might try the whole wheat later on down the road in small portions.

bread,

soda drinks

beer ( will will have an occasional glass of wine down the road)

pizza and hot wings. although i havent explored to see if there is an healthy hot wing option out there yet. I sure hope so lol.

mexican food especially mole. my favorite food.

these are things i used to eat often and havent touched in a month. Im still craving them pretty bad, hopefully that part gets easier

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
