5 Day Food!

I'm sooooo relieved. I went to my one-week post-op appointment today. I admitted to them that I had gone to full liquids on Tuesday. They said that as long as I go 5 full days between I can move on to each of the next phases. That gives me purees on Sunday! :tt2:

I know that everyone's prescribed diet is different, but I was kinda jealous of those who didn't have the week of clear, week of full liquids, week of purees, week of "soft", etc. Not trying to rub it in...just cheering at the top of my lungs!!! :smile2:

You are lucky. I was on Clear Liquids the day of surgery and for two days afterwards. Then I went to full liquid - which I will be on until Sept 15, then I will go to pureed for two weeks, then to semi-soft for two weeks. I don't go to regular food until about 12 weeks after my surgery. I am getting use to being hungry. I have lost 10 lbs since my surgery on August 26 - bringing it to a total of 40 lbs since my orientation on May 9. I'm sure it will slow down now and I will have to be patient.

Lanakila~I think I also jumped ahead by a day or two! It really didn't bother my tummy.

Momcof3~Man that is a long time for each stage! I feel for you. Just keep in mind that this is just a short phase to the rest of your life. You can do it!

Yay! Just had my first 1/2 cup of pureed food for dinner tonight!! Went down fine and I'm feeling kinda full.

One thing that sucked though having to eat it over 20 minutes because I kinda lost interest in the flavour because I wasn't chewing and I wasn't swallowing much which I am sure my tummy appreciated but it was kinda bizarre.

Looking forward to some Vitabrits with warm milk in the Morning!! :tt2:
