These are the Protein drinks I used. Maybe this information will be helpful to you.

Protein Blitz Fruit Drinks by Designer whey. Serving size - 20 oz; Protein per serving - 30 g; sugars per serving - 1 g. $3.29 each at Vitamin Shoppe. Flavors - Grape, Orange Mango, Punch. Tried them all, LOVE them all. They taste like Kool-aid or Hi-C to me. The protein in them is a whey isolate, so they are clear drinks. A very nice change from all the milky things out there. These are a fairly new product. My GNC didn't have them at all and didn't know about them, but Vitamin Shoppe has them. DESIGNER whey - Protein Drinks

Lean Body RTD Protein shakes by Labrada. Serving size-17 oz; Protein per serving - 40 g; sugars per serving - 0 g. $3.49 each at Vitamin Shoppe. Flavors - Strawberries and Cream, chocolate Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Bananas and Cream. I tried both the Strawberries and Cream and chocolate Ice cream and they are really good. They really taste like melted milkshakes to me. The Strawberries and Cream is very new, so it might be hard to find. Labrada Nutrition

Pure Protein shake by WorldWide Sport Nutrition. Serving size - 11 oz; Protein per serving - 35g; sugars per serving 2 g. $2.79 at Vitamin Shoppe. Flavors - Frosty Chocolate, strawberry Cream, Cookies and Cream, Vanilla Cream, banana Cream. I tried the Frosty Chocolate and strawberry Cream. They were ok...not nearly as good as the Lean Body, but I keep a couple in my fridge because of their high protein count. They have 3.18 g of protein per ounce, Lean Body has 2.35 g of protein per ounce, and Protein Blitz has 1.5 g of protein per ounce, if you want to compare ounce to ounce. WorldWide Sport Nutrition - Products (click "protein" on the Products page)

Muscle Milk RTD. Serving size - 17 oz; Protein per serving - 34 g; sugars per serving - 7 g. Lots of flavors. I tried the Chocolate Malt and Chocolate Milk. Didn't like the Chocolate Milk, but I LOVED Chocolate Malt.

www.bariatriceating.com carries the best quality and best tasting Protein products on the market IMO. All of the products they carry are for bariatric patients unlike the products at places like GNC and the bodybuilder gyms. BE sells a basket of samples of many different brands and they've got good recipes for using them on their website. My personal favorite brand is Whey Gourmet powder (23 grams per scoop) and my favorite RTD is Labrada cartons (17 oz), 35 grams per carton.

I am on day 15 of my pre-op diet and I really like the Atkins Advantage shakes. I've ordered them online, bought them at Wal-Mart, and even found them at Albertson's. My favorites are chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and caramel mocha latte. My doctor said these were better for me than the Slim Fast Low Carb shakes. Some people probably don't like them, but I do. Be careful ordering a large quanity online until you have tasted them. Good luck to you!!!! Becky

You can get the EAS Advantage in chocolate at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy section with the other weight loss foods. It's enough to last a week and it's under $9.00 and it's Soy Protein which is easy to digest. I buy Hershey's sugar free Syrup and add some to make it more chocolate flavored. Also I blend with 8 oz skim milk, and 3 ice cubes. Blend and Blend till all the ice is gone. It's best very cold, and sip at it.

You can get the low carb slim fast at Walmart. I have also seen the eas advantage at walmart in the pharmacy section. If you have a Sam's club, they also sell them by the case.

Check out Vitalady.com - Protein supplements, Vitamins & Minerals, and Safe Snacks!

You can get samples to try. Then you aren't paying tons for a giant container that you don't even like. I would suggest Champion Pure whey Stack chocolate. It tastes good and is low calorie.

If you are in Washington State her store is in Puyallup and they let you taste anything they carry.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
