And even if she knows you had appt that day say you were so sick but couldnt possibly cancel and reschedule again because it is important for you, and you know this because you discussed with your doctor, use your immagination or say the receptionist was not impressed but you told her you will definately go even though you were that sick ....... or well just use your logical immagination.as i say thats what i do, my thoughts, but maybe u need to discuss with a friend or a few friends and see what they say.

Oh as bad as it is to say, I am a pretty good story maker. lol growring up we always got the 75th degree from my mom. So I got pretty good at approaching situations from all angles. Answer all the questions they'd ask before I talk to them. That way no one catches me off guard. lol Too bad I have morals or I'd make a great lawyer. JK

I feel better about it today. i'm just going to schedule my next appointment in the morning and tell work to deal with it. Most people won't take the morning appointments anyway. So, it should be easier to get. I have a bunch of appointments to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I know I won't miss those because 4 grand to have braces for 2 years is worth getting chewed out for leaving. I follow all the company procedures on how to request time off and what not. i do it and they don't approve than they can kiss my ass! lol :]

Hey Hollie, I feel you! I was an office manager/ accounting assistant/ administrative assistant, so I know what it's like when people don't respond to your emails or even your PHONE CALLS.

If I was in your shoes, (if this happens again) go to HR and say that you have an appointment. If they ask why, just say that she doesn't respond to your emails and that it was an important appointment.

If they say, basically, "Screw you", suck it up and reschedule. And when you send another email, put a flag on it (if you have Outlook).

That's all I can offer.

As for the age thing; I'm 19, but just because I'm young doesn't mean I have "anger issues." God, I hate when people throw that around, but what can you do, right?:crying:

Hope everything works out!

JRG

I don't act 18 though. i've been working in the mortgage business since I was 15. I forced myself to grow up young. So i don't take offense. I am aware of how to let go lol. but we should be friends because I don't know any young people who have the band

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
