health4life 0 Posted September 3, 2008 Revenesqued, You CAN do it! Keep your eyes on the prize. Trust me, I felt the way you are feeling right now and my husband encouraged me over and over. Just "forgetting" it would make you a quitter. You don't want to be a quitter. We are in this to WIN and LIVE! Best Wishes to you! CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are truly an inspiration. Before I read your thread I was in tears wondering if I could really do this. I am on my 7th day pre-op and just a ball of emotions. I was ready to just say forget IT! Thank you for reminding me why I am doing this. Thank you all!!
gg2007BandSTAR 0 Posted September 4, 2008 Hey hun! I totally agree with you about sticking to the pre op diet! It is there for a reason and it isnt forever. Like u said i was meantto be on 3 Protein shakes a day...but was finding it hard so changed it to 2 shakes and a meal in the eve (lean protein) and it worked a treat! Now is teh time where the real hard work starts.....and im definatly up for keeping the sept samurai's motivated!! I dont get to have pured foods till week three...but i know all our doc are different. xxxx I know. My husband said he was shocked when the Dr. came out and told him he was done. I guess a big part of it was my liver was shrunk really well. That's why it's so important for people to stick to the pre op diet as much as possible. I know it's hard to do cause that medifast diet is not good at all. I ended up eating skinless boneless chicken breast and tuna which I knew had little to no fat. That's the thing most people have to realize is that if you deviate, it needs to be foods that won't add fat to your diet thus creating potential problems with your liver being fatty. I'm just glad it's over and I'm looking forward to eating pureed food after 48 hours. Let's keep in touch to keep us motivated to lose weight.
