cidconn22 0 Posted September 1, 2008  Hi everyone! I was lap banded on 8/26, no real pain now, but my hunger is HORRIBLE! I'm on a liquid diet until next Tuesday and I can't wait to taste a scrambled egg or oatmeal! Protein Shakes and blended Soups are getting dull...any creative ideas? deepinfl 0 Posted September 1, 2008 You are lucky, I was on Clear Liquids for 2 weeks, milky liquids for 2 weeks, pureed for 2 weeks, then soft for 2 weeks. YUCK! If I never see broth again it will be too soon! Don't worry about the hunger, after a couple of "fills" you won't have that issue. You are going to be healthier than ever and that is an awesome thing!! I had my surgery Feb 18, 2008 (this year) and to date I have lost 105 pounds. I tried to replace my food compulsion with exercise compulsion. Seems to be working, going to do my first 10K run next month and then a half-marathon! Never felt better in my life! Good luck to you, you made absolutely the right choice!!! D.
danamorris 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Hello! I know what you mean. I was banded on Aug. 22 and I was so hungry too. I know we are not suppose to but I started eating mashed potatoes and grits because I could not take it anymore. I dont eat much and I dont have any pain or any problems at all. Also I am still losing weight! I am not telling you to do it, I was just sharing what I am eating with you! Good luck!

cidconn22 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Thanks for the support! I can't wait to eat scrambled eggs, grits, cream of wheat..... Between the Protein Drinks and the blended Soups, that is really the only complaint I have. Small price to pay for such a big pay off. I'm knitting like crazy now to keep my mind of food. And I can only make washcloths and scarfs.....
