Appointment was good. I lost 4 pounds. I will be at Zumba Monday night with you guys. I really don't know anything else. Just playing the waiting game like everyone else. The good thing to this is I have got some structure thanks to Jeannie. :-) I haven't seen the nutrionist yet but she helped me change a few things to adjust to the new lifestyle I am taking on. All is good so far.

Im feeling great. I think it was just a bunch of irritation from being stuck. They are going to try a protonix instead of nexium, so hopefully that will help the reflux. We had chicken the other night and when mom made it, she made sure it stayed moist. Oh it was soooooo good. I make sure I OVER chew now lol.

Question for you guys who are already banded....can you eat salad? I eat some sort of salad every day for lunch now, I really like spinach salad the best. Can I still eat it? I'll ask Lindsey next week when I see her, but I'm just curious. I'd imagine it'd fall in the "chew chew chew chew forever" category.

Becky my husband also had an appointment with Lindsey yesterday at either 9 or 10, I can't remember. He never gets on here though, but I wish he would.

I was scared half to death to eat a salad. I was banded in July and finally about 2 weeks ago tried my first salad. IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD! Thing is, you have got to chew it up really well. CHEW CHEW CHEW.

I have no problem with salad and I don't find that I have to chew it much more than anything else. I eat salad about once a week with grilled chicken on it and do fine.

I have a hard time eating cold cheese (metled is ok, go figure!) and crust from bread. I do ok with toast without the crust. The other night I had a piece of cold pepperjack cheese and even with taking small bites and chewing till I was blue in the face I felt some discomfort with it. It's strange because otherwise I don't feel like I have alot of restriction. Guess I'll put that on my list of things to avoid. :)

My husband has about 6cc in his 14cc band and can eat salad without any problem, too. He usually does ok with toast, too. It just depends on the time of day he eats it. Not sure about the cheese with him....

OMG I'm so stupid!!!!! I've been really watching my portions. I don't know how much weight I've lost (if any) but my jeans are alot looser. And I've been doing things like taking off half the bread on sandwiches. So today for lunch I was just NOT feeling my ususal salad. So I had a bowl of potato Soup and half a turkey sub (with half the bread). Not the best, I know....then one of the girls in here brings me a pumpkin pie blizzard from DQ. Where were you guys to smack my hand and say "no no put it down"? My stomach is KILLING ME!!!! I feel like one of those little bloated puppies not knowing when to stop eating. Ugh!!!!! :smile2: Don't tell anyone but my jeans are unbuttoned behind my desk.

I feel like I should be doing something today, like going to Zumba, but NOOO its a holiday lol.. Ok so I got on my scales today and they said I was down 5 pounds in a week. Before I got too excited, because my scales are known to be wrong even though they are weight watcher scales, I went to the Banding center after school to weigh myself and those scales said I gained a pound! that really sucks! On the brighter side, I measured myself last monday and then again today and I lost a total of 1 inch WHOO HOO! Im really starting to see it with my clothes. My mom goes to see Dr. Kaplan Monday and they told her that her surgery should be 2 weeks from then.

Elizabeth-Congrats on the nonscale victory! I have been ravenous all week. I don't know what's up. I go for a fill next Monday, so maybe that will help?

WVU-Fan- The psych eval was a huge waste of time and dollars. Mine was 4 hours. $800 later I learned that I was an OCD borderline narcissist. Yeah, whatever...
