SilverBand 0 Posted September 2, 2008 So...I started allowing myself to have things that are a little creamy - cream of wheat, cream Soups (very little due to calories). Then I got a little adventurous and moved to mashed potatoes and blended Soup (like chicken noodle thrown in a blender so it is consistency of baby food). I feel like I am moving up the timetable, I am not supposed to start baby food consistency until I see the doc on Monday 9/8, but I am hungry, and I haven't experienced any problems at all! The food fills me up and keeps me full for at least 2 hours so I am pretty much eating 3 very small meals a day and getting in my Water, etc. So, should I tell my doc that I sped up his plan? Or, should I act like I was completely faithful on his yogurt and Protein drink diet? I am still losing weight at a consistent pace so it is not like I am taking in too many calories. What do you think?
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted September 2, 2008 I'm sticking to my doc's plan although I'm hungry and have been since I was in recovery. HOWEVER I know that eating mushies etc can cause my stomach to churn to digest it and I risk slippage, erosion etc. I might "feel" fine but be doing damage. SO I can be hungry a few days. Big woo. Worth it in the long run.
bigdog31 0 Posted September 4, 2008 I had the same problem but Jello pudding pops helped. And by the second or third week the doctor let me eat fish and chicken which totally thrilled me. Just because the stomach is rewired do not mean our minds are also.
