longn2bskinny 0 Posted August 30, 2008 I am just taking the first steps in having the surgery. Going to a seminar on September 11, 2008 through realizeband.com with Dr.Alexander D. Abkin. I am having the feeling that get insurance approval is going to be a nightmare. I have gone through and read a few of the other threads about BCBS and feel the approval process is sometimes a breeze for some and sometimes a pain for others. Just wondering if anybody with the POS plan has been approved and what your experience was like? Has anybody contacted the NJ Insurance commisioners office to complain and advise them of BCBS stalling and see what they can do to help? I am getting a little ahead of myself but can anybody tell me what the procedures/steps are after the seminar? Thanks for any opinions or advice.

seppi 0 Posted September 1, 2008 Hi, I have BC/BS of NJ PPO. I was approved in less than a week. Dr. Abkin's office is amazing at getting insurance approval. The office staff knows exactly what to do. Good luck.
