Indiogirl-It's also his polictics and his inexperience. Plain and simple. At least McCain has tons of experience and history and Palin also has 16 years experience working in government.

It should ONLY BE about the politics and not the name thing Diva

sad fact: there are some people that will walk into their polling place in November and vote against obama ( notice I did not say for mccain) because he is black and/or because of his name. They would vote for anyone other than him not because of his politics but because of his color and name.

That is unAmerican and immoral.

Oh yeah, its also SCARY!!!!

Ok, enough of calling her a racist.

Our country has been repeatedly attacked by Muslim terrorists. There have been numerous articles and acquisitions of Obama being linked to terrorist. Little is known about his education as a youth in Indonesia. Obama wants to take some of our constitutional rights away (aka GUNS) This leads some to be leery of Obama's intentions for our country. Also, this "godlike" worshipping of Obama tends to remind people of Revelations.

Did you call them today or had you done this sometime in the past? Not that it matters, but I'm just curious.

i called yesterday.

as far as the "terrorist" link to obama (name or religion), which is rediculos.....some would argue that maybe we shouldn't be in their country, fighting a war. just saying......

Well, my husband has been one of those fighting in Iraq, my son is getting ready to get deployed, and my daughter is a member of the National Guard. All you will hear is what the left media wants you to know. Hubby has been there 8 times. I personally know a former Iraq citizen who's town was attacked by Sadam Hussein...and guess what he used on them??? Weapons of mass destruction! Wow. Most Iraqis think that the US saved them and want us over there.

Oh, and we own a gunsmithing business, and go to church. So I guess we are clinging to "guns and God".

There is a lot of talk about Obama's links to a known terrorist. You just won't hear it from the leftist media. Whether it is true or not, I do not know. My reasons for not supporting him are multiple and mainly have to do with his FAR left view, his experience, his lack of respect for our soldiers, and his wanting to take our rights away from us.

Thanks for the support JWRN

But if you watch what the others write and how they write it and the things they won't believe about Obama that is in Black and White and with his questionable upbringing--if they want to be blind LET Them. If Obama becomes Pres they will see what will happen.

By the way, my husband is also Active duty and has served this country for 18 1/2 years and my father did too for 21 1/2. I have the utmost respect for our men and women in uniform and for our country. YOu cannot just pull our troops out of a war until their mission is complete or what we went there for will be in vain. If you don't support the war that's all fine and dandy but it's a job that must be finished. And you cannot put a timeline on pulling out it must be done gradually.

Once again I am not a Racist. I am a God fearing, gun toting, military wife and daughter, sister ,mother, nurse, Supporter of our Troops and Country and a tried and true REPUBLICAN.:thumbup:God Bless Our Troops and God Bless America.

Hubby has 28 years and just retired. Flew blackhawks (was in Somolia and in the book "Blackhawk Down" when the Clinton screwed the military over). I am also a nurse...and I also tote a gun.

I've been reading some of the smear tactics of Palin (this particular one is echoed on Obama's website). Good reading: Michelle Malkin

Interestingly, several of the books they claim Palin tried to ban from her local library weren't even published at the time the supposed incident happened.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
