LOL. Snopes is really one of my favorite websites. I love when people send false emails and I send them a snopes link to prove them wrong hehe.

Ya my boss use to send me all this crap and I would ck it on snopes and tell him it's not true.

Now he has me ck it before he forwards these types of email - He had already given this one to me to ck - He is Mr. Republican & I'm Ms Democrat :0) So when he was trying to tell me Obama was going to raise my taxes - I told him BS - I'm not rich like him..

Wait wait, do tell, what experience does Obama have exactly? Palin may not have the experience, but she's the VP candidate, where as Obama does not have the experience & is the PRESIDENTIAL candidate.

What experience does any poteintal presidential candiate have prior to being president - none of them have had any experience in being president. It's on the job learning for all of them. They both understand how the government works

So that one really needs to be done with by everyone on the experience issue.

Just finished listening to Palin's speech. That was a brilliant home run! WOW!

with zero similar interests / beliefs - i too believe she did more than well!

her delivery & confidence was spot on; again - not swayed to her side of the aisle.

sometimes experience (and how does one really quantify that?) doesn't provide the best eyes in governing. same old same old - is just that, and many not satisfied with it continuing.

ps - LOVE snopes

I've been a democrat for YEARS. a staunch democrat, but if you handed me a million dollars to vote for Obama, I wouldn't do it on principle. He scares the living shit out of me. I don't trust him and I don't like his politics. His background is questionable. His experience is non-existant. He's a terrible speaker, and can't even ad-lib when his teleprompter breaks!!! Boy he's really got strong feelings about what he speaks about doesn't he? He can't even follow a train of thought. Scarey!!!!!! I literally tremble at the thought of him leading our country. I can't beleive I have the choice I do. We couldn't do better than that? WHERE IS THE INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE?????? GOD HELP US ALL!!

Where in my previous post did I suggest Bristol getting pregnant was her mother's fault? Uh duh! Kids are going to do what they want to do especially teens and there in lies the fact taking sex education out of schools is bad news! Because for a lot of teens that is the only source of knowledge about sex they get! This is a perfect example of why sex ed. should not be removed but elaborated upon in school!

Also BO was in Senate in Feb of 2005! It never ceases to amaze me what crap people believe!

a staunch democrat would want to preserve certain social rights.

if your scared of Obama - i get it; lots of my staunch conservative friends & family are scared of Palin....makes perfect sense.

the reason we don't have an independent candidate is $$$$$. who can stay in the race the longest wins - unfortunately at times. it takes a LOT to run a campaign & not always the best is selected - but the one with the largest stack of chips.< /p>

Darn! I forget about checking out Snopes. Sorry bout that. I already know who I'm voting for so I guess it didn't make a difference to me, besides you would think with 5-6 different web sites to verify the info it would be correct. Sorry, it will not happen again. :crying:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
