I'm always hot! Especially at night I'm constantly waking up to turn my pillow or move positions because I put off SO much heat! Will this go away when I get my band and lose some weight?

Carly:

I've always been a very hot sleeper too. It's gotten much better since I lost a full person.

Best wishes to you.

Sue

I sure hope so because I have the same problem! I can't stand for my legs to even touch in bed because it just seems to make me even hotter. I freeze my family because I have the AC blasting at about 65 degrees while still having my ceiling fan and a portable fan blowing at me constantly. I wish you and everyone else the best of luck!

I had my surgery October 3rd. I had lost 50 pounds by Christmas; this is including my two weeks of pre-op liquid diet. I was freezing! When you lose weight it takes getting used to the weather. I have also noticed I do not sweat in many everyday situations I would have before. I do wake up still in the night from being too hot and we sleep with the a/c. I don't know if that will be your case though.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
