I Want to be a LOSER!!

Recommended Posts

I had surgery on May 20 had lost 17 pounds pre surgery. I've lost 22 pounds since surgery ( a total of 39 pounds) but I haven't lost any since the last of July. I've had 2 fills a total of 3cc in a 10cc band. I am sceduled for another fill on Sept 22. I am pleased with my weight loss so far but I sure would like to start losing again. Any suggestions on how to get the scales moving toward onederland again??

It depends on what you are eating and how much exercise you are doing. For the most part, I can't eat carbs and lose any weight. I can eat high Fiber Cereal, that are whole grain, but no potatoes, noodles,

rice, etc.

It would help if you posted your calories for the day and what kinds of foods you are eating, and how much exercise you are doing each week.

You ARE A loser

Think of what you'd have gained by now without the surgery, you're going in the right direction.

Plateaus are normal, look around the boards, we all hit them at some point. Keep eating healthy, exercise (more if you already have been), and wait it out.

I agree that your weight loss is good. I had my surgery just 10 days after you and we have lost the same amount.

Can you get your fill moved up? I was in the same position between my second and third fill. It wasn't what I was eating I have had absolutely no carbs other than from natural sources (fresh fruits and veggies, milk and oatmeal) since surgery. I mainly eat lean meats and veggies and I was not losing. When I gained two pounds, I did not wait any longer, I moved my third fill up from September 10th to last week and finally knew without a doubt the meaning of restriction and the weight is coming off again. I had 1CC put in (I am not postivie but I think I have 4.22 CC's in my 10mm band).

You're doing great gadumplin! I had surgeryon 4/23 I lost about 30 pounds in the first 2 months then NOTHING for 1 month... Then back to losing. Now I have lost 46 pounds in 4 months.

You're doing great you just have to work through the plateaus.. Theres a nice payoff when you start losing again.

The weird things I have noticed is even when I plateau my body changes and clothes fit differently. I had pants I couldnt wear comfortably at the beginning of my plateau.. after about 3 weeks I slid them on with ease and wear them all the time. I think your body has to make adjustments sometimes and settle in to all the changes that are taking place.

Well I am down 120lbs from last April.. right after surgery I lost like 7lbs, then a month of nothing, month where I GAINED 2lb, next month lost 1lb..

It wasn't until I got a decent fill, and then bam, it just started falling off.
